The workshop focuses on the challenges and opportunities presented by the continuous data acquisition from Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as smartwatches, fitness trackers, mobile phones, and smart home appliances. These devices offer unprecedented insights into our daily lives and physical well- being, with significant implications for health-related research, diagnosis, treatment, and the promotion of healthy, self-reliant lifestyles. However, the collection of this data raises several issues that need to be addressed. Key among these is ensuring the quality and relevance of the data, enhancing usability and long-term adoption of IoT devices, and maintaining transparency, data protection, and credibility in data handling.

This workshop aims to explore these critical areas in a collaborative environment, bringing together industry experts, academic researchers, and practitioners. The goal is to deepen our understanding of these challenges and to identify innovative strategies and solutions for optimizing the use of IoT data in health and wellness contexts.
